What to Know

Critics Consensus

Animation legend Genndy Tartakovsky cuts a little too loose with Fixed, an aggressively crude cartoon that might just scratch the itch for those who like their comedies frisky.

Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News Ideal vocal casting make this into the raunchiest comedy this summer that will zip up the streaming charts as fast as a dog running away from a snip-snip appointment. Rated: 3/4 Aug 14, 2025 Full Review Wilson Chapman IndieWire Just like the dog it’s about, “Fixed” has plenty of balls, but its big heart is what really matters. Rated: B Aug 13, 2025 Full Review David Fear Rolling Stone A wildly uneven, totally obvious, and often painfully unfunny 80 minutes. It’s enough to drive you nuts. Aug 13, 2025 Full Review John Serba Decider Fixed roams free off the leash when it needs to be fenced in. Aug 18, 2025 Full Review Sheraz Farooqi CinemaDebate Genndy Tartakovsky is an animation legend but this film was a complete misfire for me. Juvenile humor, repetitive punchlines and borderline distasteful scenes jumble together to create a messy experience. Just wasn't for me. Rated: 1/5 Aug 16, 2025 Full Review Kate Sánchez But Why Tho? A Geek Community It may not be the best animated film of the year, or the funniest. Still, it’s a risk worth taking as a viewer, and one that at the very least can be appreciated for consistently pushing animation boundaries. Rated: 6/10 Aug 16, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member I wish I could have my hour and a half back. Just not my kind of humor I guess, and the "can't fix my dog and take his manhood" shtick is old hat Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/19/25 Full Review James M Has its moments. The animation is quite nice but there’s a total excess of dog butt. Some of the humour is really bottom of the barrel toilet stuff. On the whole, it’s fine. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/18/25 Full Review Andrew M Woof. Who… who is this for? Completely unfunny, kind of dark, gross to no end for no reason. Also, who is Idris Elba’s agent? He has so many weirdly awful credits that his good ones feel random. This is just another one on to add to the list. One star because I liked most of the animation (minus the Excess of a**holes.) Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/18/25 Full Review Judy S WOW. What a great animated series thus far. I always wondered what a dog might think before getting "fixed". Not sure I want to fix my Frenchie now. The casting for this new animated show is top notch and really makes you pay attention to each pooch they play. Can't wait for the next episode. My 15 year grandson doesn't like much on TV these days, a huge gamer and he told me about this show and he loves it and said I had to watch it and he rewatched it with me and we had a great time watching it together with our Fixed boxer Chance and non fixed Frenchie Cheech watching it along. Made a great conversation for us! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/18/25 Full Review Renaldo D It's funny but very bizarre. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/18/25 Full Review Audience Member Another awesome but nasty animated movie for adults loved it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/18/25 Full Review Read all reviews
