Largely consistent with Katz's oeuvre thus far in its gentle, thoughtful probing of everyday events and their more revealing implications.

Florianopolis Dream is a funny, entertaining and enjoyable couple of hours. It is also an ambitious, nuanced, beautifully well performed and gorgeously insightful film, dressed up - very convincingly - in the threads of a farce. Bravo.

Holidays can be about relaxing and not doing too much. This passiveness from the main characters makes for mostly uninteresting viewing. Nothing much happens at all, the characters are unlikeable and the had-held cinematography is distractingly dizzy.
