Eh pretty boring watch but the Padre does seem to be an interesting person I'd learn more about.

Once again, you can see filmmaking potential in Stanley Kubrick but this one didn't quite intrigue me like his first one. In terms of plot, it was all over the place and overall it was pretty boring. Despite that, you can still see Kubrick's incredible filmmaking.

One of Stanley Kubrick's very early short films about a priest that has to use a small airplane to visit his Mexican parishioners. That's it. There is nothing more to say about this; that is literally all it is.

For completists (ie, film nerd losers like me) only. An odd early short from Kubrick cutting his teeth. Tells the tale of a plane flying priest (no honestly). In today's world this would just be a 30 second slot on the local news.

Quick little documentary on a priest and his airplane. Not bad.

Probably the best of the short documentaries made by Kubrick before he began his career in feature filmmaking. It follows the life of a Priest in New Mexico who has a plane and flies from one problem to the next in order to help the members of his parish, who seem to be spread out all over the area. It is a really bizarre little story. It is still kind of hard to watch these old documentaries with nothing but some mundane music, a narrator, and some sound effects. I would have loved to here the subject talk, or some of the people he is flying too...instead we have this newsreel narration telling us what is going on.
