Smartly cast with an ensemble of up-and-coming young actors who deliver the bitchy comedic dialogue like they wrote it themselves, Forbidden Fruits is very much of our current moment. Go to Full Review

It’s campy, full of laughs and some gore, and even sounds a chord about breaking free – or at least trying too – of female friendships and cliques. Go to Full Review

The movie is rarely fun or funny, further dulled by gray-washed scenes that turn the hottest store in the mall into a pale echo of better cult films. Go to Full Review

Alloway’s film simply needed more bite and idiosyncrasy if it wanted to transcend the borrowed parts it has here cobbled together. Go to Full Review

While there’s plenty of style (and I’m sure the movie will have a committed cult audience), I ultimately didn’t think the character motivations, logic, or ending worked. Go to Full Review

Mark M 16h I really wanted to like this movie. But instead of giving the characters any believable nuance they dumbed them down so far that so much of it felt corny. The only reason I didnt give it one star is that most of the actors powered through the bad dialogue and scattered storyline with strong performances. See more aaron f 1d the movie wasn't scary it was more a dumb chick flick i wouldn't reccamened it See more Michelle T 2d Needed more plot but very camp and a fun time See more Beth 2d This movie is not my usual genre. But, I really liked it & am so glad I saw it. The people I went with & I have been discussing it repeatedly since we saw it! The story and acting kept us fully in to the movie the entire time. There were scary parts, but they were done with a sort of dark humor that made it less scary. We all want to see it again to pick up on things we missed the first time. See more Juandi 2d I loved the characters & the acting. This film had all the right ingredients but it did fall short in several areas. Maybe the edit was a little clunky when it came to sequencing or certain aspects weren’t given enough backstory. However, I will always enjoy a good ol’ chick flick. See more TheGeekySandbox 3d We love female directors! Also if I had a fruit name, I’d like to be Kiwi or Plum? 🥝 This one didn’t pretend to be anything else and was a horror comedy about witches. The satire was great and it was fun to see Lili Reinhart in a different kind of role! I adore Victoria Pedretti and Alexandra Shipp - they really help make this little coven something you were kind of wanting to root for. I say definitely give it a watch - while it’s not the best movie, I think it succeeded in doing what it set out to do. | 3.5 out of 5 Geeks See more Read all reviews
