Synopsis
Anatole Hirsch (Philippe Noiret) is a successful French novelist whose creative output has left him unfulfilled and displeased, even though he's a darling of the French literary establishment. So he writes an experimental novel under a pen name and lets his cousin Martin Bassane (Robin Renucci) take the credit. But, when that novel wins a prestigious French award, a jealousy-stricken Hirsch vows to discredit his limelight-stealing cousin by penning a horrific second novel under his name.
