Critics Consensus

Though Fracture's plot is somewhat implausible, the onscreen face-off between Gosling and Hopkins overshadows any faults.

ed h Where can I start... As a beautifully shot, well directed, well paced and beautifully acted piece of art? It's beautiful. As a story? It depends on what you value. From a psychological thriller - it's incredible, it made me think, it made me pause, it made me write down notes so I could keep track of the story. And that was the issue... the story, whilst great in concept, it isn't the most complex, or novel or even very good. It's compelling sure - but the twist ending is easily spotted and ryan gosling's motive story line was a bit cliche in parts and his character was bordeline cringe to watch in some of these parts. Overall it's a very enjoyable movie to watch, and rewatch. It will make you think and you'll definitely enjoy it. 8.5/10 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/30/24 Full Review Shea G Good moments but no stand out of interesting scenes except the intro. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/27/24 Full Review Audience Member When the big twist is obvious af, this is a really boring movie. Hopkin's acting and Gosling's hair are both wonderful. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/19/24 Full Review Sams K Anthony Hopkins is absolutely great here! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/24/24 Full Review faye m Brilliantly acted by a spectacular cast, though the plot wasn't quite as stimulating as it could have been. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/01/24 Full Review Audience Member Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling were a match…wish they did more movies together. No notes.
