      Critics Consensus

Led by an arresting Sam Worthington performance, Fractured is a reasonably diverting mystery with enough thrills to make up for a familiar story.

Kyle J Predictable. The story would be better if the ending/climax was the opposite. Great acting by the lead. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/24 Full Review Melissa Complete mind fuk!!! Must watch, had my partner and I at the edge of our seats. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/24 Full Review Megan K It's worth the watch. I was constantly questioning if I could foresee the ending and had it narrowed down to two options, but chose the wrong one, so it had a nice surprise with an ending I didn't foresee. Entertaining. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/23/24 Full Review Will L Pretty cool movie. I thought it was thrilling throughout the movie and the ending was good. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/24 Full Review Vitoria Thalia M Particularly, the film really managed to scare me and all horror really affects your psychology, well in the beginning we soon get the "Plot Twist", but the entire trajectory of a character is very agonizing at all times because everything that is very obvious ceases to be be obvious and starts to be unpredictable, soon after we realize how we were deceived and that in fact the great Plot is that there is no Plot, and then the film becomes a great rescue battle, until then we greatly root for the character's victory, However, as soon as the film ended I applauded standing up, because it was something that really managed to fool me, but perhaps it was a little unnecessary, but to really be something necessary to become an impactful film... I'm not an expert in films, after all I'm just a child, but I admit that at all times we are scared, in agony and that's what a psychological horror should provide viewers. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/19/24 Full Review Luis M. D This movie stands or falls by whether we can assess the mental health of the main character. Is the man suffering a delusion –caused perhaps by a head injury or a past psychological trauma– or is he a victim of a sinister conspiracy? Since the uncertainty is maintained throughout the entire movie, it never really loses momentum. The problem comes in the last 40 minutes when, in order to build a shocking climax, director Anderson chose to emphasize truculence over subtlety, creating a twist that many people (me included) might find unsatisfactory. Yet, to save the face, he added some (not so convincing) element of ambiguity to the finale. "Fractured" may not be a great movie but is an effective acion thriller that I would gladly watch again in the future. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Brian Tallerico RogerEbert.com What's most startling is how little energy Anderson and company bring to it visually. Rated: 1/4 Oct 11, 2019 Full Review Benjamin Lee Guardian When I wasn't busying myself making an internal checklist of films I was reminded of, I was happily playing armchair detective, curious enough to engage with the pieces I was given. Rated: 3/5 Oct 11, 2019 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter The sort of psychological suspenser that proves grueling for all the wrong reasons. Oct 9, 2019 Full Review Scott Phillips The Screen Scene It's not bad, but it's not particularly good. It tries to be a paranoid, conspiracy thriller with an issue about the reliability of its narrator, but I found it too predictable to be truly effective. Jul 29, 2020 Full Review Luke Whiston TheShiznit.co.uk Basically what I'm saying is we've seen this film several times before - but that's not necessarily a bad thing. There's plenty of room for contemporary remakes/re-tellings/rehashes... Rated: B- Jan 8, 2020 Full Review Isaac Feldberg Fortune Without the star charisma or narrative ingenuity necessary to propel its story forward, this one never lets audiences out of the waiting room.
