Ed Potton Times (UK) Framing Britney Spears persuasively charted how she got to that point, with reminders of how misogynistic and creepy celebrity culture could be in the Nineties and Noughties. Rated: 4/5 Aug 3, 2022 Full Review Greg Carlson Vague Visages The best aspects of ‘Framing Britney Spears’ are implicit while the least effective parts are explicit. And in the absence of a direct commentary from Spears, Stark surely could have used more evenhanded and considerate interview subjects. Jul 26, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Janesse V I've heard about Britney Spears but never knew who she truly was. This film showed us her journey of becoming a star, something that she was born to be. It was truly heartbreaking to see the media portray her as someone who she's not. Especially being in custody under her father. Which was upsetting, she worked hard to get to where she is now. I hope the best for her. Overall, great watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review Carrington M This film was really great to learn about. I was never really interested in Britney Spears life I only of course have heard of her music. Seeing what she went through was truly heartbreaking as she was just this strong girl who did not care about what people thought. She truly had a passion and let nothing stop her. To see her own family turn was just blatantly sad and angering. It is so meaningful because it shows the way America will just tear a girl apart if she is making it or successful. I gave it a 4 just because for a long period of time in the film it was just kind of like a the same point and things being said for like 15 minutes and I kind of got bored. Maybe that was the point to keep you interested in seeing if Britney would overcome the court hearing against her father but it did not really have that effect on me, it could just be because I am not a humongous fan as the protestors were. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review Annabelle O In the film Framing Britney Spears by Samantha Stark, I found the film deeply enjoyable. It was very informative about Brittney Spears life and how the conservatorship deeply impacted her life in a negative way so much that her life was practically under the ownership of her father. The societal impact of making multiple films/ documentaries, raised awareness on the free Brittney campaign that she was released from this conservatorship a couple months after all the films were released to the public. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review Stephanie A Britney Spears endures a challenging and unfair fight for freedom from her father. As the pop star putting in the work and bringing in the money, she deserved to be in control of herself, especially her finances, in the first place. I found it meaningful that so many people came together and protested to free her from a lifestyle where she was being held down. I have sung her songs and danced to them during performances, so she is an inspirational role model for me. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/12/24 Full Review jason w Framing Britney Spears made me angry and upset at how we treat women with personality disorders in the public eye. It’s a raw reminder of how our obsession with fame can destroy a person’s life while we all just watch. At least in the end, she has been freed and can hopefully live a good life now without the conservatorship. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/12/24 Full Review Alia A This film was absolutely captivating! I really appreciated its unique perspective on Britney Spears' story, as it brought a sense of humanity to her struggles. It highlighted not only the challenges she faced but also the deep care and concern that so many people have for her. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/12/24 Full Review Read all reviews
