Peter Labuza Variety A mediocre work built on a flimsy, nonsensical premise that squanders its modest potential with a cornucopia of bad plot twists. Jan 21, 2014 Full Review Annlee Ellingson Los Angeles Times An economical yet expansive thriller. Jan 16, 2014 Full Review Mike D'Angelo The Dissolve McDermott does his best to make Robert a fearless, wisecracking smart-ass in the early Bruce Willis mold, but he's defeated by a script so dopey that its best stab at a witticism is "Baby, I wouldn't give you the ice off my eyebrows." Rated: 1.5/5 Jan 30, 2014 Full Review Isaac Feldberg We Got This Covered Pardon the obvious pun, but as a thriller, Freezer left me cold. Rated: 3/10 Jan 18, 2014 Full Review Edward Douglas ComingSoon.net No one involved with the making of this movie should be allowed to work again. Rated: 3/10 Jan 16, 2014 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com McDermott having a grand old time here as a Willis-style wiseass, while the production organizes levels of punishment for the leading man, creating a passably entertaining B-movie. kevin c Dylan McDermott stars as a man who wakes up from unconsciousness in an industrial meat freezer. Held there by Russian gangsters thus beginning a back and forth battle of wits between them with his life on the line. Decent flick that's made pretty well but falls into the usual tropes with its many twists. Certainly watchable nonetheless. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member OUCH! First of all, water vapor is visible when you breathe in a frozen environment. The Director never cared about this detail, or a hundred others when producing this nugget of malarkey. Disappointing film-making and confusing plotting kill this one. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member For being a movie about being trapped in a freezer it was better than i thought. Suspenseful but just okay Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Decent acting, average dialogue, basic cinematography, boring story. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member A man (Dylan McDermott) fights for his life when Russian thugs lock him inside a freezer, accusing him of stealing millions of dollars. Poor ending and some unrealistic decision making by the characters ruined a great story. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member For a low-budget thriller it's watchable, but with almost the whole film in a single claustrophobic set there's little scope beyond the mystery of the situation to thrill the audience.
