Jeremiah Kipp Slant Magazine Faithful to that netherworld of Lovecraft's fiction where otherworldly monsters lurk just under the fabric of our reality. Rated: 3/4 Sep 29, 2007 Full Review Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times From Beyond doesn't quite measure up [to Re-Animator] -- it's not trashy enough and it doesn't have the insane tunnel vision of the first movie -- but in its own way, this is quite a job. Rated: 2.5/4 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Nick Rogers Midwest Film Journal If "The Fly" was a parable for medical anxiety, "From Beyond" is its freak-flag cousin about mankind’s compulsion for self-destruction. It’s also a persistently grotesque film with a cast that brings the thunder and often under thick prosthetic layers. Rated: 4.5/5 Feb 27, 2023 Full Review Josh Goller Spectrum Culture Going back to the undulating well of H.P. Lovecraft, this follow-up to Re-Animator is the purest distillation of Stuart Gordon and Brian Yuzna’s gonzo comedy-horror sensibilities, & perhaps the best roles of Jeffrey Combs’ and Barbara Crampton’s careers. Nov 3, 2022 Full Review Howard Gorman NME (New Musical Express) From Beyond comes from the collective that brought you Re-Animator, and whilst it never quite manages to reach the same heights, it's still a worthy successor and definitely worth your time.. Jun 10, 2021 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins The special effects are sensational, creating fascinating grotesqueries and mutilative, fleshly horrors with makeup, prosthetics, and gooey puppeteering. Rated: 7/10 Sep 6, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Mark B Entertaining effects, acting so 80's over the to. Story is just enough to get you excited and into the movie. Movie had perfect run time in and out 90 months nutes Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/11/24 Full Review John H What a movie. As hard as HP Lovecraft can be to bring to the screen, this movie does it. It has a little bit of everything. This is just so well done! The fantastic, surreal plot kept going to areas I didn't expect. A must watch!!! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/24 Full Review Alejandro E Without presumption, it is the closest thing to H. P. Lovecraft's story. It is effective in generating fear and provoking disgust with details that refer to The Fly, and The Thing (1982). It's not a great contribution to the genre but it doesn't disappoint. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/24 Full Review Serge C Def not for the faint of heart, total far out B movie, gruesome, gooey sci fi slime fest with a tinge of kink from the dude that made Disney's Honey I Shrunk the Kids! 🍿🍿🍿1/2 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/27/23 Full Review Josh G A simple and effective horror film smartly paced, gory and full of excellent special effects. Jeffrey combs is perfect for this role even better than the cheesy but fun re-animator. The atmosphere is excellent with a smart script. The best part is this film holds up from the 80's when most films don't. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/08/23 Full Review Steve D Combs is effective but the rest is too cheesy to work.
