Audience Member One of the best rock docs of all time. Ironic that this one slipped by unnoticed in its subtle glory while "Rattle and Hum" imploded in front of the world decades ago. "From the Sky Down" is worth it alone for a 5-minute sequence where they rediscover how their epic 'One' was created (by mistake!) in studio. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member A simple but forthright documentary on the struggle U2 went on recording their defining album Achtung Baby (1991) a few years after Joshua Tree. It's a honest expose on where the band was & where there have come & how far they wanted to get away from their current fame. A must see for fans of the band & the album & gives insight why they are a band that has survived so many decades despite their unpopularity currently. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member great documentary about probably u2's best work, the making of "Achtung, Baby" Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review james b Very interesting documentary. Really compelling to see how the songwriting process went for this album. Achtung Baby is still my favorite album, and it was interesting to see how it came about in a tumultuous time for the band. I really thought that the story behind "One" was really interesting. How it all kind of came about in the span of 10-15 minutes. Had no idea how strong Bono's role was in the group. That was a big shock to me honestly. Very good!!! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Like "It Might Get Loud", the best parts of this film are when Edge pulls out his DAT recordings that are the genesis of so many classic songs. Amazing to hear those rough drafts. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Solid ... great sound ... with a great twist related to "Mysterious Ways" ... but overall not terribly insightful into the making of Achtung Baby ...
