See more arvind s 10/11/2023 The Fukrey gang is back sans Ali Fazal (who had now moved on to bigger things). Bholi Punjaban enters the race to become a politician but during a campaign run, Choochaa becomes an unlikely candidate and the gang rally to ensure his victory that involves diamonds, cheap petroleum and a trip to South Africa. The Fukrey series lost steam after the first film. The sequel that came out in 2017 could never live up to the incredible original. The primary reason is the ingenuity of the original; which was truly a breath of fresh air at the time. But the sequels including the third entry for most part recycle jokes and events from the earlier films. The only person who puts in some effort is Varun Sharma's Choochaa and to some extent, Pankaj Tripathi's Panditji. On the flipside, the sequels have kept me entertained. There isn't a single dull moment, even the dramatic elements have been drastically reduced. The only problem is the lack of originality. The first film was a complete package - an original, refreshing screenplay, excellent songs ft. an unlikely group of friends, who come together to make money. Fukr3y is more of the same but it still manages to entertain.
