Audience Member The film carries little action considering the cover. No, this film is more about PTSD or post traumatic stress disorder. Shot on a very low budget and looking the part, the film does have some high points. A few of the actors do a damn good job with their parts... unfortunately, it's none of the main ones. The story could have been good but instead of concentrating on the main storyline the film throws in a bunch of trainees almost as if to be red herrings. Sure you don't exactly know what the story is supposed to be for the first half of the film... but that's not a good thing. This film lacked direction and it showed, combined with a terrible look and little payoff in terms of action and Garrison is easily forgotten Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member the last 10 minutes or so was good i was dissapointed in this movie i thought it would have been great Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Having returned from the war in Afghanistan members of an American Infantry Battalion set about the daily routine of training and inspections as they absorb new recruits. But one of their Sgts, Nathan Cross, is having problems. Suffering from Post Traumatic Stress and after slapping his wife facing divorce, Cross is a man on the edge. Cross has gone AWOL and its up to his friends and fellow soldiers Sgt. McManus and Sgt. Cane to find him...before its too late and he commits an act of violence that will scar them all forever. Writte, Directed, Staring and Produced by Kerry Valderrama, a vetran of Afghanistan. Garrison is a look at the day-to-day of an American Infantry unit as well as a look at PTSD and the effects secrets and lies can have on the average man. Low budget but Valderrama squeezes every penny out of a minscule budget. Great score, deceint cinematogrphay and some good acting from unknowns such as James Barnes (Cross), Valderrama (McManus), Elizabeth Ingalls (McManus' wife, also hot, also one of the films writers/producer), Jason Cox ("Machine" a squad leader) and Elijah Curtis (Staff Sgt. Lambose). The story is well paced, making it feel like something that could actually happen. I'm gonna go ahead and give it a recommendation, it'll be worth a viewing. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member I enjoyed this movie, snd thought it had a gritty realism! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member crude drama. I was at shock with finale. Like seven... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member the structure of the film was all over the place Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
