"Gehraiyaan" does attempt to be unique and stand out, but the finished result is a misfire. The movie starts off interestingly enough and does maintain a slick visual look and good performances throughout. Unfortunately, as the movie progresses, it just stays bleak and eventually becomes boring. Even when things start happening in the final act, I was not even close to being invested in any of the characters in the movie. The actors really do their best here but the story does them no favors. In the end, the movie is boring and a bit of a downer that ultimately feels kind of pointless and is one of the weaker Indian movies I have seen recently.
