Liz Moody Empire Magazine Absorbing if not quite insightful, due to a fair degree of self-editing, this remains a moving, often melancholic document of a fabulous songwriter and singer whose legacy becomes ever more obvious as the years pass. A must for fans. Rated: 4/5 Jun 24, 2022 Full Review Kevin Maher Times (UK) This extended effort boasts the same format of classic track after classic track, followed by celebrity guff intercut with old Michael interviews... Rated: 3/5 Jun 22, 2022 Full Review Cath Clarke Guardian There’s perhaps not enough new material to justify a re-release, but as a whole it’s still great, and a reminder of just what a class act Michael was. Rated: 4/5 Jun 22, 2022 Full Review Paul Klein FILMHOUNDS Magazine Where the film really hits it's stride is in the exploration of Michael's struggles against the stifling Sony Music contract, a court case he lost Rated: 4/5 Jul 4, 2024 Full Review Kat Halstead Common Sense Media There's a difference between uncut and tell-all, and this celebratory documentary gives plenty of behind-the-scenes and personal interview material, yet remains very much edited by the star. Rated: 4/5 Apr 25, 2023 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall The film features terrific footage, performance clips and interviews with Michael about his career.
