Alain E The movie starts with some statistics about sexual abuse, so if we criticize it we are siding with the abusers. Very early we witness that the stressed out girl is a cutter who injures herself in the open next to a swimming pool. She doesn’t hesitate to swim on different occasions without any attempt to conceal the scars. The mother is self employed as a hooker who takes along her adolescent daughter on outcalls and asks her to wait in the car while she is otherwise occupied. All that occurs in the first 15 minutes. Sadly, I will never learn if we get to see the mother’s impressive rack. None of these events bare any relation to reality. Cutters abuse themselves in private and wear long sleeves and pants to hide the scars. I don’t have any personal experience, but I doubt that prostitutes visit clients and have their kids wait outside in the car. To be avoided on Tubi. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Well shot and acted but felt like a doc...Is this based on true story or not? Yup sad these tragedies occur daily but some kind of uplifting plot or twist woulda helped this movie a lot Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/20/20 Full Review Read all reviews
