Not only does it seek to understand what makes film such a special medium for so many people ... but Golden Slumbers also explores what it has meant for the Cambodian people to have their filmed history systematically erased and abandoned. 03/31/2013 sombre and poignant re-collection of a lost generation of Cambodian cinema, with only interviews of surviving personnel, photos, locations, and fortunately, the music, to hint of a great legacy that was thoroughly destroyed by the ravages of war. great pity indeed.
