Lomax L Funny little story, with just enough sadness to keep one interested. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/30/24 Full Review Rachelle B I absolutely LOVED this movie! Movies are slowly trickling out lately about the "out of balance" of pleasure in the bed room, the slow and silent death of the female libido because of it, and this movie touch on it in such a lovely way. It brought up a lot of feelings for me, specially as a middle aged woman and sent me on a rollercoaster of self reflection. It felt to be emotionally genuine and due to certain nuances, it was obvious that it was written and directed by women. I laughed, and yes, cried a little as well (a few times if I'm being honest). I wanted to jump into the screen and hug both characters tightly at different points, to absorb their sadness etc. and offer up love and acceptance. Dylan played Leo exceptionally well. Even if he weren't stunning (he really is a beautiful man) to look at, he played smooth as silk, empathic, charming and playful (while hiding trauma) perfectly. Emma encapsulated how most women our age would feel in the situation, every emotion radiated from the screen, and she delivered it in such endearing way. The last scene of the movie was superb and made me feel ALL the feels! I have always told my daughter to make sure she gets her pleasure (orgasm) from sex, demand it even. As we all know that is not the case for most women. I wish more for her than the story Emma has told. I won't delve into that or we could be here all day lol. I hope this movie sparks a lot of conversations and empowers woman to speak up, learn to love themselves , recognize their beauty and delve into ALL the pleasures of life. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/23/24 Full Review Patricia H Probably just me but I really did not like this film. I found it uncomfortable that a mature woman would have to pay for sex. People watching with me all loved the film and said I 'just didn't get it' Perhaps they are right. I will not be watching it again. Maybe I'm just lucky that I could not relate with the characters. Each to their own! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/07/24 Full Review Fatma R I have watched this film multiple times, it is beautifully multi faceted. Sensational. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/26/24 Full Review Marco M I wanted to see this film because it had very good reviews and I always liked Emma Thompson. Unfortunately this turned out to be a very boring, slow and unfunny movie. Perhaps the acting was ok, but it did not make up for the movie. There was barely any progress in the script, I could not identify or sympatize with the lead actors and it lacked humor which it could definately have used. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/29/24 Full Review carltonjb B Very enjoyable performances & scripting, even if the scenario is a tad unrealistic. Is an interesting reversal on the older client & younger sex worker roles. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/19/24 Full Review Read all reviews
