Paula S I think the idea was good but pretty bad acting. All Cassie did was do that smile that never quite reached her eyes. Then in the 7th season they just had to introduce a lesbian couple. For a “family” show that did it for me. I enjoyed it as background on my iPad while doing something else but at the end I feel it was kind of a waste of time…didn’t even finish it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/21/24 Full Review Audience Member Terrific ensemble cast lovingly guided by the stunning Katherine Bell who portrays a mysterious, potentially magical, newcomer to a quiet little town. It includes all the needed components of a solid movie: dram, love, action, intrigue, and comedy. A fun watch, but if you have seen the series then this is a MUST watch. The Hallmark Channel outdid themselves with this one. This may be their crowning achievement to date. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This show is so boring! I don't understand all the positive reviews. It's a normal small town show with all the classic storylines and that's it. There is no additional personality. The scenes are weirdly short. They change to a different scene before it feels like anything happened. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member How was this show never rage quick? I been told over and over how great it be. Watch it an not at all pleased. It got to be the most raciest thing toward white people I've seen. Like it an all white cast. But ALL the char. are stereotypes of white people. There a Karen, a slutty blond, a Entitled kid, his Entitled dad and it just get worse from there. The thing that throw me was I on epc 5 now an still no one has not been white or a stereotype...It's really kind of sad to watch. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Look, it is what it is. It's a Hallmark family series of movies and then a tv show. This is loving, kind, family friendly and feel good. It reminds me of the great days of shows like "Little House on the Prairie". If you want an ultimately feel good, small town show with a little twist of unspoken magic. This is the show for you! I wish they made more shows like this these days. We have enough crazy in the world, we need a little more joy and magic. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member I had seen the series on Netflix and enjoyed it enough to check out this movie, but... I was NOT expecting to like this movie so much! I can definitely see how this movie spawned so many follow-up movies and a popular series. It is fun, relatable, sweet. a definitely family film, but in the good kind of way where everybody in the family can enjoy the film, not just where it's safe for everybody in the family. I admit I am pre-disposed to like this movie- a mysterious woman who you can't quite figure out if she's a witch or incredibly, impossibly intuitive (I vote witch, lol) going around happily and unselfishly changing others' lives for the better. And I love how upbeat she is no matter what- even when karma doesn't seem to be treating her the way I think it should be. And how the good people around her rally for her when she needs them. Definitely going to become 1 of my more worn out DVDs pretty quickly, lol. And now that I know the caliber of this series, I'm off to get the rest of the movies :) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
