J L Your average Honda-Tsuburaya sci-fi epic, nothing major. Don't expect anything more when going into it its far from a masterpiece but has some of Tsuburaya's great work at least. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Japanese sci-fi film with cheesy special effects. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Okay Japanese disaster film about a giant meteor reader toward earth. It's not a bad film, but it seemed rather silly. The films producers apparently insisted that there be a Kaiju in the film, so they added a giant walrus-like monster for about 6-minutes of screen time, but I didn't get to see it because I watched the American dubbed version which cut out the walrus monster. Directed by Ishirô Honda, this film definitely fits the mold of the early cornball Godzilla films, but I think this film was actually trying to be serious suspense thriller and that didn't help it at all. Okay, but I think a random Kaiju probably wouldn't have hurt. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
