Other than some textual inconsistencies and inaccuracies, I thought it was overall quite a good depiction. A great movie for Easter Sunday evening.

It's a classic, with a all star cast , like Jamie Farr , Pat Boone, Charlton Heston ,etc , nowadays all people want in movies is sex and drugs and violence, think critics sit on their BUTTS to much and give it a bad review cause it tells a story about faith and hope something in which in these times we all need , and I think the soundtrack is GREAT !

My actor grandfather was in this film so I watch it for sentimental reasons. That being said, this is flat out turgid. Von Sydow is flat, dry, and as charismatic as last week's lettuce. The movie is a long, slow slog...unfortunately.
