It’s not a bad premise by any means, but a noir romp, however bizarre and farcical, surely has to take place in a recognisably real world where there are plausibly real constraints on people’s behaviour.

Undeniably, we’ve got some seasoned, veteran actors here who all step up their game! Some of the comedy and punchlines were actually equally written and executed quite brilliantly. But it’s like the true potential in each and every scene was never completely unlocked, leaving a potential classic feeling a little flat. JG-L’s character got a bit exhausting and clearly there was more screen time focused on HIM - and he wasn’t even the most likeable character? 😬 I don’t think it was bad at all, the true potential just felt a bit suffocated.
