Jonathan Garcia Dynamic Duel Podcast The DC Universe is huge, so it was really nice to see different worlds and races within it take part in the same story. I thought the animation of this movie was great and the voice cast was solid. Rated: 4/5 Jan 5, 2023 Full Review Collier Jennings But Why Tho? A Geek Community Green Lantern: Beware My Power gives John Stewart his well-deserved limelight, thanks to a stellar performance from Aldis Hodge as well as a sharp script and gorgeous animation. Carlos I On the one hand it was nice to FINALLY get a adaptation of John Stewarts story, on the other he deserved better than this rote, by-the-numbers, surface retelling of his origin. I hope whenever we get a live action version of this, they can pull together something much more engaging. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/13/24 Full Review Cristian s Bastante bien, entretenida. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/23/24 Full Review manuel B linterna verde es mi personaje favorito pero esta peli es lenta un poco confusa en algunas escenas Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/21/24 Full Review Jan Robert A It was far better than the score here on Rotten Tomatoes. The story in fact merges the 1994 Emerald Twilight, the 1995 storyline Zero Hour, and the 2005 Rann-Thanagar War storyline with some added twists. Hal Jorden becoming Parallax is handled somewhat in order to make sense in a movie. It was originally a retcon in the 2004 Green Lantern Rebirth series explaining, how had had become Parallax in Emerald Twilight, and introducing a new and Green Lantern Kyle Rayner after Hal Jordan had destroyed the Green Lantern Corps and OA. John Stewart replaces Kyle Rayner in this version and simplifies the story. The Justice League roster, the Green Lantern Corps and the Yellow Lantern Corps members are all reduced not to confuse and overwhelm the casual viewer, not needing to be a DC comics hard core fan. The one thing bothering me is the violence and deaths, given this is an animated movie, and kids no doubt will see this Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/28/24 Full Review jordon h A disappointment, that did a disservice to the lanterns characters in it. Along with the various storylines in the comic that it pulls from. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/03/24 Full Review matthias s Green Lantern: Beware My Power has its strengths in the first half with its engaging story, stunning animation, and the dynamic between John Stewart and Green Arrow. However, the second half suffers from poor writing and pacing issues. Nevertheless, it's an enjoyable watch for fans of the Green Lantern mythology, and the partnership between John and Green Arrow is a highlight worth seeing.
