Aaron S All the acting is great and it's Modine's film but Christine Lahti is the reason you'll binge watch this flick. My favorite performance of hers as her look and voice was made for this role. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Cheesy; yes! One I can watch time to time and still enjoy it. Probably doesn't hold enough energy for everyone! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a decent rom-com, even if it's not all that funny. It has an air of authenticity, showing the ins and outs and how difficult becoming a doctor really is. The jokes and romance don't always hit the highest notes, but it has well rounded characters, that are interesting to watch, in a soap opera kind of way. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/06/20 Full Review Audience Member The acting is serviceable, the storyline is fair, but any dental/medical student will be sold by some of the laboratory sequences and the portrayal of student hardships in the course that are quite often dead-on. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/01/18 Full Review Audience Member Beautiful movie with great actors. Really get into the heart and can feel the emotions of the characters. Overall amazing movie, not just for EMT training classes. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review william s So this is how Patch Adams got started I imagine. Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times The university atmosphere is reproduced with relentless accuracy, right down to the most subtle intonations in the voices of the professors setting the exams and asking the questions. And all of the dialogue has the ring of truth. Rated: 3/4 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Rene Jordan El Nuevo Herald (Miami) That an excellent film catalogues itself as only good is deceptive on one hand, but dignified and full of gratitude on the other.
