Synopsis
Anxious about financing the war, President Abraham Lincoln (George Billings) is relieved when a mine owner (Mack Swain) offers to supply gold to the government. A messenger is sent to meet the mine owner, unaware that the Confederates have dispatched a spy (Raymond Griffith) to intercept the gold transport. The spy survives several ordeals before he reaches the transport, only to be caught and sentenced to death. Unexpectedly, the mine owner's two daughters come to the spy's rescue.
