Audience Member I just saw the movie and I liked it. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member You won't find more backstabbing in any other movie. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Nicely filmed with just enough explanation of each character and a plot to keep you guessing right until the end. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a half way between one Guy Ritchie's movie and one from Tarantino, but it misses their geniality. Made in England with an unknown but pretty good cast, it's nice but not original. Anyway I liked the ending. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Yet another terrible British Gangster thriller, which features slutty, manipulative wags popping their booty's for old geezers who serve up their cocks as "full english breakfasts" whilst a conveyer belt of forgettable characters come and go and no-one gives a Murray Mint. Sophie Monks Kaufman Eye for Film Rated: 3/5 Jan 22, 2013 Full Review Tom Seymour Empire Magazine A miserable mess of gangland cliches and narrative tangle that deserves to be dropped off the end of Southend pier, preferably attached to an anvil. Rated: 1/5 Mar 9, 2012 Full Review Henry Barnes Guardian The leaden plot - involving a monochrome gang of hard nuts and their molls doing each other in for a briefcase of cash - leaves us with nothing under the wrapper. Rated: 1/5 Mar 8, 2012 Full Review Joseph Walsh CineVue Ultimately, Hard Boiled Sweets fails to entertain, and stands only as a messy mash-up of cockney gangster stereotypes. Rated: 2/5 Aug 24, 2018 Full Review Philip French Observer (UK) The film is smart, though not as smart as it thinks. Mar 11, 2012 Full Review Matthew Turner ViewLondon The packaging is attractive, but the contents are less than satisfying, thanks to some dodgy performances, a surfeit of unlikeable characters and a script that's both lazy and over familiar.
