Original, surprising and full of captivating eroticism, Tinta bruta has much more to tell than what lies in the surface, and what a way to tell a story, directors know how to catch the viewer's attention and how to gradually unwrap the layers of his character, nuanced in his apparent explosiveness. Unfortunately, as it goes on, it feels tired and redundant, it falls on the verge of ending up in (another) homosexual coming-on-age with lots of nudity and sordid but empty actions. All its sins are forgiven in the last scene, humanly liberating.
