Way to bury the lede -- or rather Hatchet III, as this hacked and staggering sequel crawls its way to the bloody end.

Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter This horror sequel delivers the explicitly bloody mayhem genre fans crave. Jun 14, 2013 Full Review Joe Leydon Variety There's something curiously underwhelming about the blood-soaked mayhem on display in Hatchet III. Jun 14, 2013 Full Review V.A. Musetto New York Post Will there be a "Hatchet IV''? I shudder to think about it. Rated: 1/4 Jun 14, 2013 Full Review Kevin A. Ranson MovieCrypt.com With new revelations and what appears to be a final solution for Crowley's curse, could this really be the final installment in the franchise? (insert sinister laugh here) Rated: 3/4 May 2, 2018 Full Review Heather Wixson Daily Dead It may not be perfect, but Hatchet III is still a ton of fun and McDonnell does a great job at delivering a sequel that feels much bigger and bolder than anything we've seen so far in the Hatchet series. Rated: 3/5 Jan 8, 2016 Full Review Scott Weinberg TheHorrorShow The trilogy ends with a bang. And blood. A bit clumsy in the plot department but still pretty good fun. SkyRo P Hatchet III is yet another installment in a horror franchise that really should’ve stopped before it even started. After suffering through the first two abysmal films, I figured I might as well see how bad the third could be—because how much worse could it possibly get? Turns out, much worse. The writing reaches new lows in Hatchet III, culminating in a scene where Victor Crowley is killed by having an urn of ashes dumped on his head. Yes, really. That’s the grand finale. It’s baffling how a script this ridiculous ever got greenlit. The entire storyline feels like a joke that went too far, and by the end, it’s clear even the fans had had enough. From what I understand, this was intended to be the end—likely because audiences and critics alike made it known that this franchise had long overstayed its welcome. As for the acting? Almost impressively bad. Not a single performance stands out in a good way, and it’s no surprise that most of the cast hasn’t gone on to do anything notable since. This franchise, in my opinion, ranks among the worst in cinematic history. Hatchet III is a painful watch from start to finish—an unfortunate cherry on top of an already disastrous series. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/05/25 Full Review Ricardo d Da trilogia este é o melhorzinho, temos ai mais gore e muito mais mortes elaboradas. Temos ainda o retorno de atores mortos por outros personagens e até fazendo piada disso. Isso denota o quanto o roteiro é raso e sem comprometimento. Atuações continuam fracas, Mas também pra que se importar em ser um bom ator se vai morrer estripado no final? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/21/24 Full Review James B Hatchet III is an amazing movie filled with amazing gore and well written characters. This movie was simply awesome and is definitely one I will be watching again in the near future. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/29/24 Full Review Jules N L''humour si particulier du premier et même du second opus n'est plus vraiment présent. Le scénario a dans certains moments des failles mais cela reste toujours cependant très plaisant et divertissant de voir autant de gore ! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/22/24 Full Review Gui W muito divertido e sangrento e engraçado em certos momentos e muito bom pra quer quer passar o tempo Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/27/23 Full Review Mateo L My rating for the film is a 5.1/10 Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/05/22 Full Review Read all reviews
