The movie’s saving grace is its neighborhood full of kooky misfits played by great character actors like Stephen Tobolowsky and Melissa Peterman. Go to Full Review

Pixel D @Blutakduck 4d One of the worst films I have ever seen. It’s basically a horror movie. A woman is pressured into Christmas by narcissists and psychopaths. There is not a single human-like behaviour or interaction between any person. If I wasn’t sure it couldn’t have happened I would swear it was written and created by an alien using AI. See more Isabel B Nov 28 Very boring movie, some of the characters are very fake even for a hallmark movie. It was a challenge to finish watching See more Shaun R @Shaun666 Nov 18 If ever a film defined ‘Meh’ it’s this one. It wasn’t a terrible film, but it’s neither interesting, endearing, nor funny. I can’t even say it got me in the mood for Christmas. See more Renee B Nov 14 A bit of a hard watch. Felt annoyed at the pressure the main character had been put upon her through peer pressure and a bit of an awkward storyline. See more Kevin F. @kevinf_ Oct 20 This movie was a hard watch. I don’t like how rudely the neighbors/HOA treat Lacey. I watch Hallmark to be uplifted, not discouraged by negativity. Instead of being convinced of Christmas Spirit, Lacey was coerced into being merry. There’s a clear difference between cute humor and plain meanness. See more SkyRo P @TheMovieSearch Dec 26 “Haul Out the Holly” is a delightful Hallmark film that premiered in 2023, featuring Lacey Chabert in the lead role. The story presents a whimsical twist on holiday traditions, centering around a celebrity family that moves into a new neighborhood, only to clash with the strict rules enforced by the homeowners' association (HOA). The family's refusal to comply with the HOA’s regulations sets off a chain of events that sends the entire town into a frenzy. One of the amusing aspects of Hallmark films is Lacey’s frequent appearances across various titles, often sharing romantic moments with different co-stars. This can be a bit disorienting for viewers, as they find themselves trying to keep track of her various on-screen romances and figuring out which movie they’re watching. Despite its quirks, this film offers plenty of comedic and heartwarming scenes. While it may not be a cinematic masterpiece, it’s certainly enjoyable and provides some laughs along the way. It features a few memorable moments, making it a light-hearted watch during the holiday season. However, like many holiday films, it’s one that you’re likely to enjoy once and then set aside until the next festive season rolls around. See more Read all reviews
