SkyRo P “Haul Out the Holly” is a delightful Hallmark film that premiered in 2023, featuring Lacey Chabert in the lead role. The story presents a whimsical twist on holiday traditions, centering around a celebrity family that moves into a new neighborhood, only to clash with the strict rules enforced by the homeowners' association (HOA). The family's refusal to comply with the HOA’s regulations sets off a chain of events that sends the entire town into a frenzy. One of the amusing aspects of Hallmark films is Lacey’s frequent appearances across various titles, often sharing romantic moments with different co-stars. This can be a bit disorienting for viewers, as they find themselves trying to keep track of her various on-screen romances and figuring out which movie they’re watching. Despite its quirks, this film offers plenty of comedic and heartwarming scenes. While it may not be a cinematic masterpiece, it’s certainly enjoyable and provides some laughs along the way. It features a few memorable moments, making it a light-hearted watch during the holiday season. However, like many holiday films, it’s one that you’re likely to enjoy once and then set aside until the next festive season rolls around. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/26/24 Full Review Ryan L This has a decent cast, but the storyline is awful. Anything fun about Christmas is ruined by ridiculous HOA nonsense. In real life the main actress would have locked the door, and left to stay at a hotel, if not went somewhere else on a vacation. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/17/24 Full Review Audience Member So fun and cute. Loved the sequel as well. This is one I’ll watch again and again. The holidays need some light heartedness. Hoping they do a third. @Hallmark knew what they were doing with this one. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/11/24 Full Review Forrest M I think, while the movie does have its quarks and moments where you might want to turn it off in corny humor, if you can just accept the fact that the movie is a little on the dumb-comedy side, you can enjoy it quite a bit. I personally enjoyed it, and even chuckled at times. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/08/24 Full Review Michael B Cool cast; horrid movie. You know when people use the R word (Ra**y) to describe someone's demeanor or an action; yeah that's this movie. Not sure how it being chock full of manipulation of too many fronts makes it rated PG. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/28/24 Full Review Horror fan 4 What a funny romantic comedy. Although the HOA character was annoying at times it definitely sets itself up for what should be a fun sequel.
