Michael O'Sullivan Washington Post Salva certainly gets points for creative repurposing. Much of what transpires in "Dark House" has been seen before, just not all in the same movie. Rated: 1/4 Mar 20, 2014 Full Review Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times Mere minutes into "Dark House," it becomes depressingly clear that the deficit of imagination displayed by the title will not be made up for by the content. Mar 14, 2014 Full Review Inkoo Kang Los Angeles Times There's plenty of blood in the supernatural horror flick "Dark House," but what really defines director Victor Salva's latest effort is flop sweat. Mar 13, 2014 Full Review Scott Weinberg FEARnet Doesn't always work as a cohesive whole, but it does have more than a few good moments. May 8, 2014 Full Review Matt Donato We Got This Covered Dark House could really benefit from an Extreme Home Makeover, because as it stands, this is one architectural mess of a horror film. Rated: 5/10 Apr 7, 2014 Full Review Bill Gibron PopMatters Dark House is lame. What it lacks in scares it more than makes up for in incomprehensible narrative choices Rated: 1/5 Mar 19, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews

Liam D An incompetent mess that features an cast phoning it in and an a writer and director not knowing what he is doing Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/25/24 Full Review Joel C The screenplay isn't very strong but I do like how the director handles it, and the performances are decent. There are some real creepy shots and some memorable violence. The filming style is quite nice the way it's lit and captured, it definitely has that Jeepers Creepers style to it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/14/21 Full Review farah r The horror genre has degraded beyond repair in the recent years. I couldn't even finish this one. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Underpar as a teenage slasher as it attempts to create a higher meaning story through the main character and is very messy for it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Andy G The premise looked good. The acting was decent. i particularly liked the hammy haunted attraction mogul. It immediately fell apart when the deaths started. The premise was so terrible even the characters themselves point it out and the flimsy explaination does not hold up well. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/17/15 Full Review troy k Too corny for me, but it still kind of works. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
