Inspired by true events, HEIST 88 is the unbelievable story centered on Jeremy Horne (Courtney B. Vance), a criminal mastermind with an innate ability to convince anyone to do just about anything, who decides to pull one last job before going to prison. He recruits four young bank employees to steal close to $80 million dollars in a daring and brazen assault on the U.S. banking system. Being apparently quite low budget, it's still surprisingly well done. Neither had I ever heard of this real heist in 1988, nor of this 2023 flick. Anyway it's quite alright to while away those 1 1/2 hours with a very unexpected twist at the end. 5/10 points!!
