Inspired by true events, HEIST 88 is the unbelievable story centered on Jeremy Horne (Courtney B. Vance), a criminal mastermind with an innate ability to convince anyone to do just about anything, who decides to pull one last job before going to prison. He recruits four young bank employees to steal close to $80 million dollars in a daring and brazen assault on the U.S. banking system. The film takes place in a time before widespread computerization and the vast cybersecurity of today.

Oh boy, this movie was amazing. Courtney Vance delivered an amazing performance as always. While being based on actual events, I did not know what events took place. The end was shocking and I never saw it coming! The support roles were equally impressive as Vance. I fully recommend it.

It was an ok movie with ok acting. You didn't know what the role of some characters were. The ending was a bit ambiguous, did the kids get the immunity they asked for or did they get thrown in prison. I hate movies that leave the ending unfinished for you to figure out. If I wanted to figure it out I would have been a script writer, but I watch a movie to be told a story with a beginning, middle and end. Supposed to be based on true events but the story didn't feel believable to me.
