See more Dallas H @FozzieMcFly 4d I really liked the premise of the whole story being about a rural community that is relatively accustomed to werewolves living among them and just "making do" with the situation. The only real issue I had was that the ending of the movie seems a bit far-fetched for a woman who keeps saying she's only two months pregnant. If she were further along in her pregnancy, then my level of doubt for the fantastical situation would have been shelved a bit farther back. Otherwise, the entire movie is entertaining enough to watch, and I think I might watch it again someday just for the hell of it. See more Cinecita T @Cinecita 6d A Genuinely good werewolf movie. It's too bad that Shudder didn't give it a theatrical release so it could have found it's audience. Hellcat deserved better. Of all the traditional Universal Monsters, Werewolf movies are the most difficult. Not only do you have to have a good story, but without realistic special effects AND great creature design to really sell it. I won't spoil the movie, but it doesn't quite get there, but the story was so compelling. With some great twists, it overcame almost all of the usual werewolf movie requirements and is one of my favorite horror movies so far this year. See more Magnetic C @MagneticCone 6d lol! I’d honestly recommend not even reading a description before watching it—just go in completely blind and let yourself get mesmerized by the twists and turns as you try to piece together what the hell is actually going on. It’s dark, mysterious, and genuinely unpredictable without feeling like it’s trying too hard to shock you. The ending is pretty satisfying, too, and the whole experience feels refreshingly different from the typical movies in this genre.
