Jorge Loser Espinof With its rituals and exorcisms, Hellhole initially seems to be purely a variation of a possession film, but as the movie progresses it takes a turn into occult and secret cult cinema. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 3.5/5 Nov 21, 2022 Full Review Barbara Shulgasser Common Sense Media Viewers willing to put up with cannibalism, slashed throats, suffocation, and general murderous mayhem will appreciate the craftsmanship, decent special effects, and perfect Halloween vibe. Rated: 3/5 Nov 2, 2022 Full Review Kate Sánchez But Why Tho? A Geek Community Hellhole is a monastic nightmare that leans on traditional jump scares throughout before paying off with an artful ending that makes its tight hour and 30-minute runtime hit its full potential. Oct 29, 2022 Full Review Austin Burke Austin Burke/Flick Fan Nation The first two acts are a mixed bag of clichés and obvious character turns. The atmosphere captured and wild turn of events in the final act make it worth a watch, but it does feel like a missed opportunity. Rated: 5/10 Oct 28, 2022 Full Review Amanda Guarragi Ready Steady Cut It is a standard religious horror with a bit of twist that isn’t that engaging. Rated: 2.5/5 Oct 27, 2022 Full Review Johnny Loftus Decider Packed with dread, gloom, and the machinations of Satan’s faithful here on earth, Hellhole is a wholly rewarding horror film with a healthy respect for the genre’s time-honored, sometimes stomach-turning stylistic tropes. Jay J A waste of time. The acting was serviceable, certainly more believable than Insidious: The Last Key, but it doesn’t matter when you don’t care about a single character. Not scary, not horrifying, not even tense. The plot feels like it was scribbled down in five minutes, then filmed without thought. And the dub? Awful. It drains any atmosphere that might have been there. This wasn’t horror. It wasn’t even suspense. Just a dull, predictable trudge with no thrills and no surprises. Netflix filler at its worst. Movie ended right when it started to take off. Atmosphere was cool, acting was decent and had a good story to it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/21/25 Full Review Audience Member This is probably the worst movie I have ever seen in my entire life! The acting was bad, the plot made NO SENSE, and It WASN'T EVEN SCARY. Me and my friends laughed the whole time because it was so horrible. Please stay away at all cost! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/05/25 Full Review Faceless A Eerie atmosphere, minimal jumpscares, definitely keeps the watcher guessing and saying wtf. was a delight twist on the overdone possession horror genre. I do recommend watching it with the original audio though. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/06/25 Full Review Abbas D Absolutely trashed the great potential they had. Starts off as a 4 on 5 and ends as an absolute disaster. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/08/24 Full Review Read all reviews
