Tim Brayton Alternate Ending Feel[s] like a bit more effort was spent than needed to be, by the degraded standards in which projects like this live. Rated: 2.5/5 Jul 17, 2022 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins Instead of creating new, inventively ghastly creatures, the series keeps drifting further and further away from the gruesome yet fantastical slasher subgenre it helped invent. Small L Too much pleasure not enough pain (It wasn't a pleasure watching all those sexy scenes) No, but to be fair, the later half of the movie was better. The end twist was good and made the whole plot better, even if I don't like what it makes of Kirsty's character (that's a personal opinion). But I really think they could have done something similar with a good twist (that doesn't include Kirsty) and less sex and it would have been way better. In retrospective better than when they try to make it more slasher and less mystical, but still meh. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/17/24 Full Review Audience Member La verdad no esta chida pero ai q ser buena gente 🐱✌️ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/03/24 Full Review Gabriel R Oh great, one of those movies that's confusing as all hell to watch on purpose because amnesiac narrator. It's also weirdly erotic for the entire second act. Why did I rate it higher than Inferno you may ask? Because I actually got surprised by the twist, the film's ending comes together really nicely, and Kirsty is back in this one. Just be prepared for way too many sex scenes and one scene of nuclear cringe that forced me to skip ahead a few seconds Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/15/24 Full Review Anton F I loved this. Hellraiser was never a slasher movie, it's about other-dimensional beings responsible for providing limit experiences to their... guests. This movie is the essence of the franchise: psychological horror. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/09/23 Full Review john c The sixth instalment of the Hellraiser franchise has a "made-for-TV" feel to it from the start. This film's biggest problem, though, on the level of basic entertainment value, is that constant fake-outs make it impossible to get invested in the story. Shocking things keep "happening" to or around our protagonist, except they really don't, because a second later he appears somewhere else, apparently unscathed. The overall effect of this was that I ceased to care what was happening on screen, since it was obvious that very little of consequence was *actually* happening. This movie also butchers the Hellraiser lore established so far. Instead of having to summon the cenobites with the Lament configuration, apparently all that's necessary to wind up in their clutches is... to be murdered. Wait, what? In this case the murderer in question turns out to be none other than Kirsty Cotton, whose personality has been utterly turned on its head for this movie. And, yes, our protagonist has been in the afterlife the whole time, explaining the incoherency of the entire film prior to the last few minutes. Unbelievable as it may seem, Hellraiser: Hellseeker is still not the worst film to come in this franchise. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review guy p Plot is just as confused as the main character, pinhead and the cenobites are now visions in the afterlife? They keep changing the story of hellraiser and expect us not to notice. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
