The Dead End Kids, a group of young actors who debuted on Broadway, then transitioned to film, appear here as a cadre of unruly orphans who find an unlikely ally in an ex-convict at their reform school. Buck Caesar (Stanley Fields) gets out of jail early after his lawyer (Margaret Lindsay) arranges for him to work at a school for wayward boys. At the school, Buck discovers the headmaster (Frederic Tozere) is cruel and crooked, and works on a scheme to reveal the situation.
