This documentary tracks the history of hemp, a plant more commonly known as marijuana among those who smoke it. But, while advocating for its legalization, director Anthony Clarke shows that hemp is good for more than simply producing an altered mind state. For generations its strong fibers have been used to make paper and clothing; in fact, the Declaration of Independence was written on it. But corporate interests and politics have colluded to make the useful plant illegal.

Audience Member One of the best Hemp Documentaries that I have ever saw. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member eye opener. another one of those espionages with governmental backing. maybe one of these days it'll be legalized and we can actually be a strong country again. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member More people should know about the uses and history of this plant. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/08/18 Full Review Audience Member The answer to the strained needs of our world. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member A pretty informative documentary. Focuses more on the lies of war on drugs and the real reasons for hemp's current legal status, than it focuses on any of the supposedly positive attributes of smoking weed. The pro-hemp is pretty industrial information, as opposed to recreation. Could definitely do without about 15 minutes worth of bad music and stoner visual effects spread throughout the film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Trouble seeing through Netflix, saw on Google Video. I really did not know about the conspiracy to surpress this plant. I am ready to join the revolution. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
