kevin c Tom Selleck plays a novelist who's gotten writers block and decides to lie to the authorities claiming to be a beautiful murder suspects alibi, so that he can possibly write about it. Far fetched to say the least. Paulina Porizkova plays the mysterious woman. This has its moments of genuinely funny situations, but certainly not something you'll lose yourself in. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member LOVED this movie. It was a fun movie and I don't give a rat's rear end what the critics thought of it. Not a serious movie by any stretch of the imagination but one that makes you laugh and smile. Just what I needed. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Why the hell did Tom Selleck screwup?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member One of my favorite comedies. Definitely underrated. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member LOL! Oh my god, this movie is horrible! and I love how cringy and badly written it is. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Light entertainment with a little of the charm that made Tom Selleck a fan favourite. A predictable storyline didn't and doesn't matter...particularly when considering the formula crap coming out of Hollywood. Critics and haters will have their day in the sun...but on the grand scheme of things light humour and films that don't take themselves too seriously are refreshing. Jay Carr Boston Globe There's no excuse for Her Alibi. It inspires oceans of sympathy for Tom Selleck, who seems a nice guy and doesn't deserve to be lumbered by the ineptness of this enterprise. Apr 27, 2018 Full Review Empire Magazine A dodgy script and weak direction means the decent performances fall flat. Rated: 2/5 Feb 8, 2012 Full Review Variety Staff Variety He's a mystery writer, she's a mystery; and it's also a mystery how TV fodder like this manages to get the high-gloss, top-talent treatment at studios. Mar 26, 2009 Full Review Dan DiNicola The Daily Gazette (Schenectady, NY) It's not that the film is awful or offensive; it simply does not have the imagination, wit or energy to carry us into its world and make us laugh, fret and forget. Apr 18, 2022 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...an entirely disposable endeavor that's rightly fallen into obscurity in the years since its release. Rated: 2.5/4 Dec 11, 2019 Full Review Jeff Simon Buffalo News It has a grand total of four genuinely funny moments, most of which are shown for free in the TV commercial.
