Mystery novelist Phil Blackwood (Tom Selleck) has written countless best sellers, but he's having trouble finding inspiration for his latest book, so he goes to the courthouse to observe real criminals in action. Tom Selleck plays a novelist who's gotten writers block and decides to lie to the authorities claiming to be a beautiful murder suspects alibi, so that he can possibly write about it. Far fetched to say the least. Paulina Porizkova plays the mysterious woman. This has its moments of genuinely funny situations, but certainly not something you'll lose yourself in.

LOVED this movie. It was a fun movie and I don't give a rat's rear end what the critics thought of it. Not a serious movie by any stretch of the imagination but one that makes you laugh and smile. Just what I needed.

Light entertainment with a little of the charm that made Tom Selleck a fan favourite. A predictable storyline didn't and doesn't matter...particularly when considering the formula crap coming out of Hollywood. Critics and haters will have their day in the sun...but on the grand scheme of things light humour and films that don't take themselves too seriously are refreshing.
