Maggie Peyton (Lindsay Lohan) wants to become a NASCAR driver but her overprotective father, Ray Peyton Sr. (Michael Keaton), won't hear of it. A former racer himself, Ray wants Maggie to take a lucrative TV sportscasting job and leave the driving to her crash-prone brother (Breckin Meyer). When Ray Sr. takes Maggie to a junkyard to pick out a car, she has no idea that the little Volkswagen Beetle -- named Herbie -- she takes home will change her life.

Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são mais ou menos, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

This movie is the best car movie i have ever seen and nobody should be saying it's bad because its not. At first, I had mixed feelings about this movie but I found that it's actually good! Don't listen to those stupid critics who don't appreciate real movies! I mean who would like stuff about wars and monsters and cars are the real deal! - egg rolls

Herbie is a fun family film harolding a female racecar driver amongst a male dominated field with a lovable and mischievous car helping reach their dreams. The movie is well-paced and scripted. The raceway sequences were impressive. It's simply a memorable and fun-watch that modernly rejuvenates a 60s franchise to a new audience.

Synopsis
