I also rented this based on the 90% rotten tomatoes rating… I'm so confused there must be a mistake. So bad. There was no real plot. It felt more like a $0 budget trippy experimental film that was trying to be artsy but just felt like a bad trip. I saw someone wrote that they've seen scarier home videos on YouTube… 100% agree. I tried to hang in there as long as I could but it kept getting worse… not sure who they have rating these movies but this one made me question the validity of rotten tomatoes. Don't waste your time on this one.

Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time watching this. Just look up the Reddit reviews discussing how bad it is. The first half isn't great, and then it gets worse. There is no discernable plot and nothing makes sense. It's just a mix of random "artsy" shots (aka a LOT of filters, weird transitions, and bad camera shots) and scenes mashed together in a way that doesn't have anything engaging about it. It has lazy writing and poor editing. And it being a home project isn't an excuse. Plenty of college students and YouTubers produce better content than this. This should have stayed a fun family project and should not have been released as a film to the public. I wish I had read the Reddit reviews first vs going based off the 90% on here. Their inaccurate pity ratings wasted my time

Not every frame of He’s Watching works and a lot of the last third feels like a psychedelic trip you didn’t consent to. For the first 80 minutes, I was having a great time with behind-the-shot action and quick cuts designed to keep everyone off balance.
