Soddy P Loved it! Smarter than it needs to be. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/29/24 Full Review Drift B The RT critics did it again who knows why they rated this so high 🤬 Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/24 Full Review Kaden F A confused movie with a boring 1st act that leads into an absolutely terrifying 2cd act full of atmosphere, creepy imagery, imagery, and dread, that leads into a confused 3rd act with a twist ending that is clever but somewhat ruins the movie Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/22/23 Full Review Ashley D I also rented this based on the 90% rotten tomatoes rating… I'm so confused there must be a mistake. So bad. There was no real plot. It felt more like a $0 budget trippy experimental film that was trying to be artsy but just felt like a bad trip. I saw someone wrote that they've seen scarier home videos on YouTube… 100% agree. I tried to hang in there as long as I could but it kept getting worse… not sure who they have rating these movies but this one made me question the validity of rotten tomatoes. Don't waste your time on this one. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/10/23 Full Review Conor J Completely unwatchable. I've seen no-budget Youtube videos scarier and made better than that. Also the amount of skin you all were willing to show of your young son was creepy and suspicious. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/11/23 Full Review William W Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time watching this. Just look up the Reddit reviews discussing how bad it is. The first half isn't great, and then it gets worse. There is no discernable plot and nothing makes sense. It's just a mix of random "artsy" shots (aka a LOT of filters, weird transitions, and bad camera shots) and scenes mashed together in a way that doesn't have anything engaging about it. It has lazy writing and poor editing. And it being a home project isn't an excuse. Plenty of college students and YouTubers produce better content than this. This should have stayed a fun family project and should not have been released as a film to the public. I wish I had read the Reddit reviews first vs going based off the 90% on here. Their inaccurate pity ratings wasted my time Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Phil Hoad Guardian Genuinely interesting and experimental... Rated: 3/5 Oct 11, 2022 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com ...if you don’t like murk, phone screens and shaky-cam, stay away, but there’s enough originality on show to make He’s Watching worth pointing out to genre fans… Rated: 3/5 Oct 17, 2022 Full Review Rob Gonsalves Rob's Movie Vault What Estes, his family, and some game friends have done here is laudable, an achievement of sinister mood in a shiny L.A. house. Rated: B Aug 24, 2022 Full Review MontiLee Stormer MovieReelist.com Not every frame of He’s Watching works and a lot of the last third feels like a psychedelic trip you didn’t consent to. For the first 80 minutes, I was having a great time with behind-the-shot action and quick cuts designed to keep everyone off balance. Rated: 3.5/5 Aug 11, 2022 Full Review Q.V. Hough Vague Visages “‘He’s Watching’ is a practical and efficient horror film in the style of Rob Savage’s ‘Host’ (2020), but its brilliance lies in Estes’ subversive funhouse mirror approach.” Jul 29, 2022 Full Review Andrea Chase Killer Movie Reviews A masterfully crafted film that blends the real and the supernatural so seamlessly that a hammer defying gravity is at once reasonable and terrifying.
