The protagonists are very likeable, so it's not hard to root for them. Overall, the story is wholesome, but if we get into the details, it's pretty frightening how allergic Americans were of anything colored. The dialogues feel natural and authentic to the era. The cinematography is good, especially the lighting and some of the camera movement. The editing is fantastic, this movie isn't boring for a second. The production design and visual effects did a perfect job to capture the 1960's. The soundtrack was sometimes weird though. By that I mean it didn't always feel authentic to the era. The cast is incredible and the performances too. It's always nice to see Glen Powell, especially in films where he wasn't talked about as the next movie star yet. Hidden Figures is entertaining, inspiring and just a really good film. See more Kevin W Nov 14 I still need the interactions between browns and whites to be more realistic! These movies when done by the Caucasian community aren't authentic, with regard to those interactions! Regardless of the sensibilities of many "whites", telling these historical dramas needs to portray the hate, humiliation, language, murders, rapes, lies, community eradications, etc...! These women were in an industry of such Colossal National Pride/America over Russia, all that! When these women were in NASA offices, NASA meeting rooms with NASA engineers and managers! Respect minimal, Disdain based on the superiority of white men over women & men of Color ... Off the chain! Dripping with all the above. Their actions are as much a part of the story as the celebration of the achievements of NASA as a Whole! See more Nalii O Sep 29 I really like this movie. It's really realistic and how it's portrayed See more Read all reviews
