Audience Member Story of preplexed young generation in Hong Kong. Even though it is a low budget production, with general weak writing, terrible acting, & deja vu, cliched plot line, still one remarkable piece in its own terms. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Latest attention-grabber in HK cinema Heiward Mak delivers a youth drama that looks and feels conventionally peachy at first glance, but eventually grows into something very close to real and lasting. Mak falls into some tiresome youth film traps though, showing off with a rather unnecessary abundance of techniques although the film is shot cheaply on video. All pseudo-hipness is easily discarded however, as Mak's narrative delve into darker thematic depths where harsh reality prevails over stylish gimmicks. Although some predictable innocence lost scenes do occur, High Noon proves to be very effective in these sadder moments, and events gradually turn out pretty unexpectedly. An unpolished gem. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member very truthful, fresh & provocative, but also too serious & tragic.....the cast performed quite well in general. a good try for a new director! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Simply a must~! Absolute, just, amazing! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Youth is beautiful when it's cruel. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member High Noon, the burning youth of a group of typical highschool students in HK. i wish i was as naughty as them... like a lot of scenes in the movies, esp the one with the guy dancing in the zebra crossing...lots of nice local scenes, like the square sky framed when looking up in the courtyard of a housing block...though it's a bit sad overall Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
