They spend the night in an abandoned house that turns out to be, you guessed it, haunted. However, things get even goofier when it's revealed that a group of international spies (Lon Chaney Jr., Basil Rathbone, and John Carradine) have also been using this house as their base of operations. This film had had the good sense to never take itself seriously, which greatly helps. The film also features some good old fashioned county music from a bunch of performers who I was not familiar with, with the exception of a young Merle Haggard. Rated 2.5/5 Stars •  Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member More of a farce than a comedy, and there's very little laughs from this film because of it. It's a fairly strange watch, with the once great Basil Rathbone reduced to playing a character that's very insignificant despite appearing throughout, and then there's musical interludes throughout with several numbers performed on stage after the crux of the film is over.
