Callie M This is a great and quirky movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/11/24 Full Review in t Obsessed with this movie! We've watched it countless times. First time almost turned it off, then realized it's filmed in Saco & Biddeford Maine so kept watching. Love it. Reminds me of word of mouth cult classic movie like A Christmas Story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member The thing about this movie is it's on the creepy side. The puppeteer profession is super cool but the way they just put the puppets randomly in the "flashbacks" are quite strange. The entire movie she is after this mystery and in the end you don't even see her solve it even though the answer is right in front of her. Finding the treasure was the only reason I watched the entire movie because I wanted to see it happen.... and I didn't even get to. 🙄 Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I get the ending, but that doesn't mean I enjoyed the ending... Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review joe m Engaging yet ultimately unsatisfying made-for-TV movie in the endless stream of holiday films on Netflix. "Holly Star" can not decide whether it's a mystery - the search for some alleged buried treasure that takes up the first 60 minutes - or a romance between the two rather personable and attractive leads - which takes up the last 30 minutes. "Holly Star" is somewhat less saccharine than most of the holiday films out there, yet it's off kilt take doesn't compensate for a plot that just doesn't come together in the end. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie made no sense. None of the characters were likeable and the writing was terrible. I was bored and the entire movie was unfunny and weird...and not in a good way. Tedious. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
