Kat Hughes THN Holy Shit! may run out of steam quickly, however, its affinity for gross-out humour should be enough to keep most invested. Rated: 3/5 Apr 6, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

gavin m I watch many movies in my free time, so I can safely say I know my way around a motion picture. This is my favorite movie ever. I don't know what it is. Watching Frank try to escape while being on the edge of my seat? Or perhaps is it the goofy humor? Or the lighting and atmosphere of the porta-potty? I love it all! The movie also has a "it's so bad it's good" kind of vibe, but it's subtle to show the masterpiece of the movie itself. Writing a movie where the whole thing takes place in 1 setting is very difficult. This brings the movie "phone booth" to mind, but this movie is on a whole new level of genius while adding plenty of humor. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/22/24 Full Review prawnda s i fail to see where the comedy aspect lies until some of the very last moments, but perhaps it's lost in the english subtitles. still, the main character puts on a pretty solid show, and they manage to get a lot done from just the inside of a porta-potty. i cant say that i've been bored, but once other characters begin to show their faces on screen, the writing gets a little heavy handed. the people who had an opportunity to help the protagonist were neither funny or convincingly inept, to the degree that it wasn't clear if they were siding with the antagonist. this doesn't appear to be the fault of the actors in all cases, but just a narrative issue that requires them to mess up in such strange ways. the ending just has altogether too many twists and turns that don't feel compelling and were probably the most expensive aspects of the film. i still had a decent time, but we just don't need a good chunk of the last 20 minutes.
