henry m Very heartfelt story with talent from Linda Hamilton. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review adam b Speaking on Christmas TV films, this one is definitely stellar compared to the others. But other than some good acting, the film itself is plagued by terrible directing and a cringe script Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review andrew s I didn't have much sympathy for the main character, partly because the writing of her downfall was unconvincing: not much of it made sense in terms of how the real world works. Similarly, the movie portrayed overcoming hardship as easy. The protagonist's lying and half-truths to turn her life around were so squirmishly awkward that I wasn't really rooting for her to succeed. Also, I found her failure to connect with those who might help her as inexplicable. That being said, it did pass the time and left me wondering how things were going to turn out. The abrupt ending was OK, but not all that satisfying. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Better than most of the Harlequin/Lifetime type of movies. Julia has a terrible lawyer though. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member No one dies, so the movie doesn't get too gloomy; yet it contains a lot of drama that you can relate to. The hospital, the insurance company, the police, and the ex-husband are no help at all, so the leading lady has to start over from scratch. It has a happy holiday ending and the characters' willingness to help those in need is in the holiday spirit. It doesn't hurt that the movie has Rob Stewart - the handsome guy who played Roan in Nikita and Nick in The Good Witch's Garden. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Aside from the cheese factor, I thought this was pretty cute. Not the best acting, but it could be overlooked.
