Caring, thoughtful and empathetic, Vlasta has been taking care of her pupils for years, until she falls into health problems. Affectionately, with love and sympathy about the simple citizens of the Czech provinces, their needs and a world as rich as the metropolitan world.

It may lack subtlety sometimes when dealing with its subject matter, but even so this is a delicate drama that understands how the fear of death can make people embrace irrational beliefs or anything that might give them comfort against their own best judgment.
