This listless genre exercise mostly plays like a film-school-spun tribute to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre with some Hansel and Gretel clumsily mixed in, but without a political or philosophical foundation to stand on.

Great gritty atmosphere. Dragged on too long. It became dull. It lavked direction or motivation and had no destination. A missed opportunity.

Unbearably boring. Very dark, much of the time. The sound effects are effective and unnerving, but also drown dialogue and I ended up needing to turn on the sub-titles. But really, just don't bother. It's all atmosphere, with 20 minutes of actual plot. Actively angry at this film right now.

Beyond absurd cannibal family who apparently like cheeks only second to ass? However, watchable if you use a computer and hit advance repeatedly. Glacial pace concept horror. And what is Lena Dunham doing here? Was she a fellow student with the director or lose a bet with someone? The two leads do a rather good job with limited internal motivation. Not their fault – that would be the script's.
