Whipping up promising ingredients and elegantly plating them, House of Spoils has the presentation down but ultimately delivers empty calories.

Despite Oscar-winner Ariana DeBose's best efforts, this fine-dining horror only elicits a few scares. The food looks delicious, and the knife skills are on point, but genre fans will likely want to eat elsewhere. Go to Full Review

The haunted restaurant horror tosses plenty into the pot, but the half-developed flavors rest uneasily on the palate. Go to Full Review

House of Spoils should mainly be recommended for bringing an unusual spectral essence to a dish you might otherwise turn down. You won’t want seconds, but it’s worth the taste test even picked for parts. Go to Full Review

House of Spoils serves up all the tension of a microwave TV dinner—bland, unsatisfying, and definitely not worth the wait. Go to Full Review

House of Spoils is too distracted by its own choices to make any commentary about consumer culture. The finale leaves a laughably bad aftertaste. Go to Full Review

Gastronomia e bruxaria tudo junto, vale a pena assistir sim. Definitely not like anything I have seen before. Not for everyone, but it kept me watching and entertaining. See more D P Jun 18 I found this interesting. I liked it for the most part. I just didn't care for the ending very much. The magical meal at the end would realistically take days to prepare, with the ingredients and the setup for that many people? Not so quick. So that was too much fantasy for this universe that we're in. I know the former chef was haunted, but being magically able to prepare a meal for a throng of people with no prep with the snap of a finger? It doesn't fit.
