Audience Member Slow but surprisingly entertaining and draws you into the story unfolding. An upper level B Rate film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Not the easiest film to watch, but one that repays you tenfold if you stay to the end. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member How Not to Work and Claim Benefits is a comedy following the lives of two work shy, booze loving louts (Mike and Dave) who wind up with £10,000 pounds after agreeing to a deal, neither being able to remember what the deal was. The first half of the film is a rather light hearted affair with often gutter humour. Some will be put off by this and it's fair to say that many of the jokes do fall flat, but there are plenty of good laughs to be found as you watch Mike and Dave try to spend their new found wealth whilst an ever increasing paranoia sets in. The second half takes a more serious twist that see's Mike and Dave's lives thrown upside down. Despite the drastic and sudden change in tone, the film holds together well to create a somewhat moving finale. The twist does leave a couple of unanswered questions and also leaves one early scene not making a great deal of sense, but despite that, this still remains an enjoyable film that is worth a watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Didn't know what to expect and wasn't quite what I expected from the title. But it was so much better than I thought! My new favourite British film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Brilliant film so funny and fantastic ending! Definitely a must watch!
