Although “Hunger” can also be perceived as a missed chance for Mongkolsiri to make his comments and essentially his narrative, more pointed, the film as a whole, works excellently, as the direction, the acting, and the visuals are truly outstanding Go to Full Review

The film not only questions haute cuisine as a mechanism for social advancement, but also demystifies it.. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Despite all the flaws, Hunger is still worth watching, especially for those who love intense drama and exotic settings. Go to Full Review

A predictable but tasty foodie-drama. Go to Full Review

The 130 minute runtime is too long, lacking tightness and rigor. And yet the film coasts along quite well - never exceptional but never poorly made. Your appetite for psycho chef drama will be satisfied. Go to Full Review

Progressively acknowledges the reasons different people aim high and the difficulty in ever filling a need that may be inherently insatiable. Go to Full Review

Matthew K Sep 22 Its a great movie, yes, but its a little too long with some very boring slow parts but like the rating I would say its worth a watch. See more Ivan C Sep 18 Unnecessarily long and pretentious with its hackneyed message about society. See more elana k Aug 11 you get the feeling that the story could go absolutely anywhere whilst at the same time knowing exactly how it will end. See more Gregory S Apr 21 I honestly did not think that I would enjoy this movie as much as I did. Yeah, it can be a bit predictable, but it’s truly engaging. Cinematography is outstanding. Music is epic for each specific scene. I enjoyed the characters, and the casting was solid. Truly wish I knew Thai though, the English dubbing I do not believe did it Justice. Overall, pretty great experience. See more Eric D Apr 21 At first thought this was another chef film. Instead I got a incredible journey between the characters trying to be the best version of them overcoming nasty challenges from a frustrated chef. And the way back home. The chef Paul role was incredibly done. Felt so honest and real. But the real star is Aoe lovely played by Chutimon. Really amazing and convincing. See more Igor S Mar 4 This is a bit of a weird(or should i say, different) movie, but that is not a bad thing, and it was totally worth a watch. Great visuals, tense plot that glues you to the screen from beginning to end, despite the movie being extremely long(you don't notice the length tho, which is great), and both the main character and the "villain" have amazing screen presence. I am very excited to see what movies the main actress does in the future. She was awesome. Some points were not made completely in a convincing way and there were a few missed opportunities for the director to make a more impactful point across, but overall, it was a well executed movie.
